DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Determine layout and installation procedures

·         Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations

·         Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment

·         Utilize hand and power tools

·         Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements

·         Document and prepare invoices and work orders

·         Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies

·         Review work orders, installation drawings and manufacturer instructions to determine appliance placement and installation steps.

·         Measure spaces and mark installation points to confirm appliance dimensions, clearances and alignment.

·         Receive daily installation assignments from the company, review customer addresses and job requirements, and organize visits according to the assigned schedule.

·         Contact customers before arrival to confirm appointment times, access arrangements and readiness for the scheduled installation.

·         Travel to customers’ homes to carry out assigned household appliance installations and update the office on job progress, delays or completion.

·         Select and prepare the tools, installation kits, mounting brackets, hoses and other supplies required for each assigned job.

·         Verify appliance model numbers and installation accessories against work orders and report incorrect items, missing components or delivery damage before installation.

·         Place protective coverings on floors and nearby surfaces to prevent damage while moving and installing appliances.

·         Remove shipping bolts, transit restraints and protective materials, and prepare appliances for installation according to manufacturer instructions.

·         Assemble and fit manufacturer-supplied installation components, including stacking kits, support brackets, trim panels and anti-tip devices, where applicable.

·         Adjust reversible appliance doors, handles and other configurable components according to manufacturer instructions and the approved installation layout.

·         Position approved appliance hoses, cords and permitted vent connectors to prevent kinking, pinching or interference with appliance operation.

·         Obtain customer acknowledgment of completed work and submit installation checklists and job completion reports to the office.

·         Monitor installation supplies and notify the company when tools, fittings or other materials require replacement or replenishment.

·         Follow workplace safety procedures, safe lifting practices and required personal protective equipment requirements.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

·         Seven months to less than one year of experience in household appliance installation or a closely related field.

·         A valid driver’s licence is required as driving is required to different locations for the position.
